Uniform
Our school uniform for all children from Reception to Year 6 is as follows:
- Grey school trousers / skirt / pinafore dress / shorts (not PE shorts) / purple and white summer dress
- White shirt or polo shirt
- School sweat shirt or cardigan
- Plain grey, black or white socks / grey or black tights
For PE all children should wear plain dark shorts and a Ditton Lodge T-shirt. Children can come to school dressed in PE kit on the days they have PE:
A range of second-hand uniform is avaliable to purchase from school. It is kept on a rack in the foyer, organised by size for you. If you are struggling with any aspect of purchasing uniform, please do speak to us.
In school, it is important that all children wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos. We want children to look good and feel proud of themselves in their school uniform and also to recognise that what they wear in school is different from what they wear for play or relaxation. For this reason we consider that black ‘skinny jeans’ are not appropriate for school, neither are black trainers or converse type trainers.
We would also respectfully request that children do not wear nail varnish or other make up to school.
