PTFA
WHAT IS THE PTFA?
The Ditton Lodge Parent, Teachers, Families and Friends Association (PTFA) is a Committee made up of Parents, Teachers and Family Members of pupils at Ditton Lodge Primary School. Everyone who has a child at the School is eligible to join and everyone is very welcome! The Committee includes a Chairperson, a Vice Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer who all have individual responsibilities such as chairing the meetings, taking the meeting minutes and keeping our accounts, but there is no hierarchy and we all work as a team.
WHAT DOES THE PTFA DO?
Our remit is to fundraise for the school so that YOUR CHILDREN can benefit. Although at Ditton Lodge we are incredibly lucky that the school is generally very well equipped, there are always important resources and activities that are not included in the school budgets.
HOW DO WE RAISE MONEY?
We are a Registered Charity and we fundraise by organising events such as discos, fairs, May Balls, Quiz Nights, Bingo nights etc and also through the sale of giftwrap, plants, teatowels to name but a few things, and we are always looking for new ideas. We try to arrange a variety of events so that there is something for everyone! Not only do these events bring in vital money for the school, but we also hope they help foster our school community and we are always very grateful to everyone for their support.
