Ditton Lodge Primary School is celebrating after being praised for its high aspirations, ‘exemplary’ pupil behaviour and an inclusive culture where children from all backgrounds thrive.

Ofsted inspectors recently visited the school and concluded they were ‘Strong’ in almost every key area, including Achievement, Attendance and Behaviour, Curriculum and Teaching, Inclusion, Leadership, and Personal Development.

Inspectors found that pupils “achieve highly” and were “excellent and avid readers” who produce high-quality work across the curriculum.

The inspectors noted: “Pupils dream big and aim high in response to their teachers’ high aspirations for them. They shine brightly, striving to be the business leaders, politicians and positive contributors to society of the future.”

A standout feature of the report is the school’s commitment to inclusion with Ofsted concluding that “inclusion runs through every aspect of the school’s work”.

They also noted that SEND pupils and those from disadvantaged backgrounds were well supported to overcome barriers and succeed alongside their peers.

Inspectors also praised the school’s personal development programme and its extensive enrichment offer. Beyond core subjects, pupils engage in diverse activities ranging from willow art and Indian dancing to tending the school allotment.
