PE & Sport Premium Funding
At Ditton Lodge, we follow a broad and balanced physical education curriculum which underpins the key learning intentions of the curriculum. Our long-term vision is to provide high-quality teaching so that every child can find enjoyment and a life-long appreciation of health and fitness. We strive to inspire all pupils to succeed and excel in physical activities as this helps them to become confident in a way which supports their health and fitness, as well as supporting future sporting achievements. Our physical education curriculum is designed for pupil engagement and satisfaction whilst stimulating skills transferrable to the rest of our curriculum; physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth. We aim to supplement our curriculum teaching through specialist extra-curricular provision and participation in both inter and intra-school events.
The school works with the support of the PE and Sport Premium grant, which enables us to extend our provision across the school, making sustainable improvements to the quality of physical education (PE), physical activity and sport we offer. We provide pupils with a variety of rich physical education opportunities, such as Forest school, football freestyle, boxing, skateboarding and many other workshops. Our reports on spending can be found in the documents.
